Volunteer Access Point

As a member of Worcestershire Volunteering, we are able to signpost volunteers to opportunities throughout the county, co-ordinate the way we all work and ensure that the delivery of volunteering services are accessible in all areas of the county, to anyone who wishes to volunteer. So no matter where you live or work, there's a Volunteer Centre near by who is willing to help and guide you into volunteering! See our 'Links' page if you would like to contact another Volunteer Centre in Worcestershire.

What is volunteering?

Volunteering is about giving some of your time to help others in the community.

Who Volunteers?

Anyone & everyone can volunteer; we all have something to offer. So whether you’re male or female, in work or unemployed, whatever your situation you’ll be welcomed. Whilst we welcome volunteers of all ages, it can sometimes be difficult to find a diverse range of placements for young people under 16yrs of age - but we will try our best. Also some organisations do have upper age limits but again, we will endeavour to find suitable placements for everyone who comes to us. We also work with organisations to encourage them to have a diverse age range of volunteers as that can bring really positive rewards for an organisation.

How much time must I give?

You can give as much or as little as you like – it can be for 2 hours per month or 40 hours per week – the choice is yours.

What will it cost me?

We aim to ensure that all voluntary organisations make provisions to cover the out of pocket expenses of their volunteers - & this will not affect any benefits you may be receiving.

What are the benefits to me?

Develop new skills, feel valued, meet new people, improve your existing skills - to name just a few!!!!
