The Volunteer Centre in Malvern is one of a network of Volunteer Development Agencies across the country and is accredited by Volunteering England (England's Volunteer Development Agency).

To find details of volunteering opportunities in the Malvern area search online with do-it.org.uk.  If you type in your post code and your area of interest (if known at this stage), you can find all the relevant volunteering opportunities registered with our Centre.  You can register on line and your details will be sent to the Centre.

If you want to volunteer but don’t know what you want to do, come and have a chat, telephone, email or write to the Centre.  The Centre offers a confidential service to members of the public, providing impartial information and advice about local volunteering opportunities.  We can put you in touch with a local organisation for a visit to obtain further information.

There are over 120 groups registered with this Centre and volunteering roles available include: advisers, befrienders, carers (with animals, the elderly, children and people with disabilities), car and minibus drivers, conservation workers, fund raisers, IT workers, sales and sports assistants, receptionists, trustees.

If you know what you want to do, but there is no volunteering role available we will try to develop one to match your skills and abilities.

Looking for Volunteers?

Whether your group is a voluntary, local or community group the Volunteer Centre can help.

We can:

  • Register your organisation’s volunteering opportunities
  • Enter them on the national volunteering website (do-it.org.uk)
  • Tell new volunteers about your opportunities and arrange initial contact
  • Advertise the opportunities on local notice boards and via the local press
  • Request character references for new volunteers
  • Help volunteers complete Criminal Records Bureau forms
  • Support the development of new volunteering opportunities.

Volunteering Opportunities with Community Action (Malvern & District)

Community Action volunteers play a vital role in the work of the charity.  There are opportunities to volunteer in the following roles:  Car Service Drivers, Shoparound Escorts, Minibus Drivers, Trustees, Receptionists, Resource Centre Assistant, Bookings Clerks, Publicity Distribution, Volunteer Centre Assistant and IT Volunteers.
