Our July newsletter is packed with heartwarming stories, exciting updates, and new opportunities to get involved in your local community.
🌟 Celebrating Volunteers. We recently marked National Volunteers Week with a free film screening at Malvern Theatres – a special thank-you to the 210+ volunteers who attended. We also welcomed a group of 36 volunteers all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who rolled up their sleeves to support a range of community projects including litter picking, tree planting, and helping out at Stepway and Link Nurseries.
🎥 Film Club at Malvern Cube Looking for something fun and friendly? Join our Film Club on the second Thursday of every month. It’s a great way to meet new people, enjoy a tasty lunch, and catch a good film – all in a relaxed setting at the Cube’s Garden Café.
🪵 Malvern Men’s Shed The Men’s Shed has been buzzing with creativity! From Tuesdays to Fridays, people of all backgrounds and abilities come together to make beautiful wooden items (now on sale at our office). It’s a welcoming place to learn new skills and make lasting friendships.
🚐 Transport News We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new minibus is on the way, increasing our capacity and reliability. Plus, our Worcestershire On Demand bus service is expanding to reach more rural areas – making it easier than ever to get out and about. Don't forget, we also run a friendly door-to-door shopping and coffee trip service every Wednesday and Friday!
☕ Afternoon Tea at Malvern Link Volunteers and guests recently gathered for a lovely afternoon tea, with endless cake and plenty of community spirit. A huge thank-you to everyone who made it such a special event.
