Malvern Shed Celebrates Highly Commended Award at BBC Make a Difference Awards

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement for Malvern Shed, who have been recognised with a Highly Commended Award at the BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester Make a Difference Awards.

Last Wednesday, the Malvern Shed team had the honour of attending the awards ceremony at Hereford Courtyard, alongside many other inspiring nominees who are all doing incredible work to make a difference in their communities.

Although Malvern Shed didn’t take home the overall winner’s award, receiving the Highly Commended Award was a wonderful achievement and a real recognition of the difference the Shed makes to the lives of its members.

More than just making and fixing

The evening was a particularly special one for the Malvern Shed team, celebrating everything that makes the Shed such an important part of the local community.

Malvern Shed provides a friendly and welcoming space where people can come together, learn new skills, share their talents, enjoy a cuppa and, most importantly, connect with others.

For many members, it’s about much more than making, repairing and practical projects. It’s about friendship, connection, confidence, purpose and wellbeing.

Having somewhere to go, meeting new people, learning something new and being part of a supportive community can make a huge difference to someone’s day — and sometimes to their life.
